Genome-wide identification and expression pattern analysis of the dehydrin gene family in Eriobotrya japonica

摘要: Dehydrins (DHNs) are essential for increasing a plant's resistance to abiotic stressors. The DHN gene family in Loquat has not yet been the subject of an extensive and methodical investigation. Twelve EjDHN genes were found in the loquat genome in this study. These genes are spread over six chromosomes and are referred to as EjDHN1 through EjDHN12 based on their chromosomal positions. They may be divided into four subgroups: -Kn, -SKn, -YKn, and -YnSKn kinds. Collinearity analyses suggests that the gene pairs EjDHN2/EjDHN3, EjDHN4/EjDHN8, EjDHN5/EjDHN6, and EjDHN11/EjDHN12 likely arose through segmental duplication. Tissue-specific expression analysis revealed that members of the EjDHN family were expressed in young leaves, mature leaves, young stems, leaf buds, flower buds, and fruits at four distinct developmental phases. The highest expression of EjDHN10 was found in flower buds. Under drought stress, the expression levels of EjDHN3 to EjDHN11 were significantly increased except for EjDHN5. The expression of EjDHN10 was significantly up-regulated in leaves, EjDHN3, EjDHN4, EjDHN7, EjDHN8, EjDHN9, EjDHN11 and EjDHN12 in flower buds, and EjDHN3, EjDHN4, EjDHN5, EjDHN9, EjDHN10 and EjDHN11 in fruits under low-temperature stress conditions. Except for EjDHN1 and EjDHN2, ten EjDHNs responded to low temperature and drought adversity stress in different organs. These results lay a foundation for further study of their function under various stress conditions.
