摘要: Effective management practices can mitigate greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions during aerobic composting of manure. This study employed biochar, superphosphate, and citric acid as co-additives for emission reduction measures. Four industrial-scale treatments were conducted under hot and cold environmental temperatures to comprehensively assess the effects of emission reduction measures and semi-permeable membrane coverage on GHG emissions and microbial communities during aerobic composting of cattle manure. The study found that compared to the control, covering compost with a semipermeable membrane alone increased nitrous oxide (N2O) cumulative emissions by 13.46 % under high environmental temperatures. Regardless of temperature conditions, combining semipermeable membrane coverage with emission reduction measures significantly reduced cumulative emissions of methane (CH4) and N2O during composting by 21.44 %-52.78 % and 41.84 %-72.34 %, respectively, compared to the control. This was attributed to the decreases of AOA, nirS, and mcrA gene abundances, increases of nosZ gene abundance, and a decrease in Firmicutes by 9.67 %-54.28 % during the composting process. Therefore, the combination of emission reduction measures and semipermeable membrane covering represents a novel strategy to reduce the global warming potential (GWP) by modulating functional genes during aerobic composting of cattle manure.
