The complete mitochondrial genome of a sex-limited marking silkworm (Bombyx mori) in China

摘要: Here, we report the first complete mitochondrial genome of a sex-limited marking silkworm (Bombyx mori), which has been exclusively developed for male-only rearing in sericulture industry. The complete mitogenome sequence is 15,678 bp in length, containing 13 protein-coding genes, 22 tRNA genes, two rRNA, and one control region. The work will provide a valuable data for future research on sex-limited inheritance and sex control in silkworm.
