Length-weight relationships of eight fish species from the Songhua River, China

摘要: In the present study length-weight relationships (LWRs) for eight fish species from the Songhua River, the seventh largest river of China and the longest tributary of the Amur, were estimated. All specimens were collected by traps and electrofishing in April, July and September from 2020 to 2021, and weighed (nearest 0.01 g) and measured (nearest 0.01 cm) in the laboratory. The b values for the assessed species were within the range 2.5-3.5. All the estimated LWRs were highly significant (p < 0.01) with high correlation coefficient (r(2) >= 0.944).
