A new ocotillol-type ginsenoside from American ginseng berry

摘要: A new ocotillol-type ginsenoside, named pseudoginsenoside F-12 (1), was isolated from American ginseng berry, whose structure was elucidated as 6-O-[alpha-L-2,3-epoxy-rhamnopyranosyl-(1-2)-ss-Dglucopyranosyl]-dammar-20S,24R-epoxy-3 ss, 6 alpha,12 ss,25-tetraol. In addition, the known alkaloids ss-carboline-1-carboxylic acid (2) and anoectochine (3) were isolated for the first time from the Araliaceae family. The new compound 1 was evaluated for cytotoxicity against MDA-MB-231 breast cancer cell line.
