摘要: Fungi are major source of phytotoxins with potential herbicidal use. Some of these phytotoxins could be used as lead compound for chemical synthesis. In this review, several herbicidal compounds alpha,beta-dehydrocurvularin, helminthosporin, brefeldin A, vulculic acid, and ophiobolin from fungal plant pathogens in China are explained. Their isolation, identification, structural elucidation, herbicidal and other pesticidal activities and mode of action are described. Challenges for the discovery and commercialization of these compounds are outlined.
