Comparison of the Deformed Fruit Rates in the First and Second Runner Generations of Micropropagated Plants

摘要: The deformed fruit rates were investigated among the first and second runner generations of micropropagated plants of four cultivars 'Sweet Charlie', 'Camarosa', 'Benihoppe' and 'Tianxiang' in the greenhouse. The results indicated that the first runner generations of micropropagated plants of 'Sweet Charlie' and 'Camarosa' had the higher deformed fruit rates in production. They were 7.6- and 3.7-fold higher than that of the second runner generations, respectively. As for 'Benihoppe', the higher deformed fruit rate was in the second runner generation which was also the highest rate in the four cultivars. Compared with the others, the deformed fruit rate of the first runner generation of 'Tianxiang' was lowest, but it was 5.5-fold than that of the second runner generation. Therefore, the second runner generations of micropropagated plants of 'Sweet Charlie', 'Camarosa' and 'Tianxiang' were suitable for production, and both of the two runner generations for 'Benihoppe' could be selected for production.
