'Taishanhong' Pomegranate and Its Cultivation Techniques with High Yield and Good Quality

摘要: Pomegranate is a kind of excellent fruit with economic, ecologic and health functions, which originated in the central Asian region and has been cultivated more than two thousand years in China. This paper summarizes the characteristics of 'Taishanhong' pomegranate, one of the preferable cultivars of pomegranate at present in China, and its cultivation techniques for achieving high yield and fruit quantity. The culture techniques include site selection and construction of orchard, soil and water management, the reshaping trim, flower and fruit management, pest control, frost defense and harvesting. The aim is to provide reference to the research and industrialization development of 'Taishanhong' pomegranate.
