The distributions of aflatoxin B1 and zearalenone in the processed products of maize germs during cold pressed process and solvent extracted process

摘要: Aflatoxin B1 (AFB1) and zearalenone (ZEN) in maize germs threaten the food and feed security. However, their distributions in the processed products of maize germs during cold pressed process and solvent extracted process have not been reported in detail. Nine germ samples were selected and dealt by two oil production technologies. The quality indices, the AFB1 and ZEN levels were analyzed. The contaminated levels of AFB1 and ZEN of maize germs had no relationship with the qualities of germs. The solvent extracted oil had worse quality than that of cold pressed oil. The AFB1 in germs were transferred to meals and cakes in a large proportion, and the transfer amounts for meals were larger. Compared with AFB1, ZEN was more easily assigned into germ oils. The ZEN levels of meals were similar to that of cakes. This study provided a reference for the production of edible oil and animal feed.
