摘要: F-2 and backcross inbred line (BIL) populations are two types population for rice (Oryza sativa L.) breeding and genetic mapping. In this study, we report the comparison of mapping for heading date loci between F-2 and BIL populations derived from the same parents, N22 (indica) and Nanjing35 (japonica). Compared the QTL mapping results between the F-2 and BIL populations, seven putative QTL were identified in the F-2 population, qHd-3-1 and qHd-6 had the major effect in heading date, explained 18.12 and 16.72% trait variation, respectively; but only four QTL were detected in BIL approach, the major QTL qHd-2 explained 21.62% trait variation. There were three QTL (qHd-2, qHd-3-2 and qHd-10) were detected in both populations, but qHd-3-1 and qHd-6 as two major QTL in F-2 population could not be detected in BIL population. Furthermore, the effect of three major QTL in F-2 or BIL population, qHd-2, qHd-3-1 and qHd-6 were confirmed using AB-populations. Our study will provide theoretical basis for researchers to choose an appropriate population in QTL mapping.
