Assessment and Zoning of Chinese Agricultural Natural Disaster Risks

摘要: A kind of risk assessment approach based on cause-of-loss data were used to assess and regionalize the agricultural hazard risk for China and its 31 provinces in this paper. It is concluded that 1) the average annual loss caused by natural hazard in 16 out of 31 provinces of China were more than 10 percent, the average annual loss is 12.9%. 2) Drought and Flood are the most serious natural hazards in China, accounting for 51% and 27% of agricultural disaster loss.
