Genetic diversity of Agropyron mongolicum Keng indigenous to northern China

摘要: The objective of the present study was to investigate the genetic variation and structure of Agropyron. mongolicum Keng populations collected from Northern China. Twelve populations of A. mongolicum were used in SSR analysis with 27 polymorphic primers that were previously mapped on wheat genome. The result showed the polymorphic band number changed from 1 (Xgwm257and Xgwm43) to 25 (Xgwm544) with the mean value of 7.815. The genetic diversity values ranged from 0.952 in Xgwm544 to 0.091 in Xgwm291 with the mean value of 0.711 over all populations. In Nei's distance 0.440, the populations of A. mongolicum were divided into 4 groups. The phenogram and the principal coordinate analysis of SSR indicated that populations from the similar ecogeographical situation clustered together. More attention should be paid to special populations of different regions in regard to collection and in preservation of A. mongolicum germplasm.
