A DECISION SUPPORT SYSTEM FOR WATER-SAVING IRRIGATION MANAGEMENT

摘要: The system of decision support for water-saving irrigation management was developed in view of the complexity and real-timeliness of water use management in farmland irrigation. Based on the collected information about weather, soil moisture, crops, water resources situation, etc., crop water requirement is calculated by using the method of crop coefficient. According to the decision-making model of soil moisture, the irrigation prediction could be made to determine the accurate irrigation date and optimum irrigation amount by the system. Meanwhile, the irrigation equipments were automatically controlled and monitored to realize the aim of high-efficiency and water saving with the help of the decision-making results. The system could not only input, edit, retrieve, count, and output information, but also provide the decision support of irrigation optimization and water resources optimal allocation for irrigation management departments and water users, and make the precision irrigation schemes. It could provide with such functions as the retrieval of water-saving irrigation mode, the selection of the optimum irrigation schemes, and guiding optimum irrigation for users in irrigation districts. With all these functions, it could be of great value in application.
