摘要： In this paper, we think agricultural disaster risk has the features of systemic, uncertainty, complexity to estimates and easy result to catastrophe, which will lead to serious challenges to the traditional risk management tools. Index insurance and insurance securitizations are the innovative tools occurred in global market recently, and have the attractive features of no adverse selection and moral hazard, low administration cost, availability and negotiability. Taking into account Chinese conditions, we think the two innovative tools, especially the index insurance, may be more suitable for nature disaster risk management in Chinese agriculture.
