摘要: 'Huasu' is a new, an early maturing, high quality, high yield and disease-resistant pear cultivar from interspecific hybridization of 'Zaosu' (Pyrus bretschneideri) x 'Yakumo' (P. pyrifolia). The fruit ripens 10similar to15 days earlier than 'Zaosu'. The fruit is about 200similar to250g in weight on average, round in shape with yellowish green skin. The flesh is yellowish white, fine, crisp, juicy, sour-sweet, palatable, strongly flavourful and aromatic. The fruit quality is excellent. It fruits early and is high-yield, the yield of 7-year-old trees is about 42.5 t/ha. It is highly resistant to pear scab and suberized spot of fruit under the standard spraying program. The study on the pedigree of interspecific hybridization of 'Huasu' indicates that interspecific hybridization is an effective channel of pear breeding and has very great potentialities in the breeding for ripening season, fruit quality, disease resistance and cold hardiness. The new and excellent pear cultivars can be bred by the continuous interspecific hybridization of 2similar to3 generations.
