The Effects of Nanomaterial Treated Water on the Pathogens of Rice Diseases and Fungicides

摘要: Various fields have employed the successful and safe use of nanotechnologies (nanomaterials). However, due to fewer investments being made in agronomy, nanotechnologies have so far been less developed in agronomy than in other disciplines. In this paper, we focused on their potential use in agriculture, especially for plant protection and production. We mainly tested the effect on the growth of several fungal rice pathogens (Rhizoctonia solani, Pyricularia oryzae and Gibberella fujikuroi) with nanomaterial treated water (NMTW), and the inhibitory effect on the pathogens of NMTW to dilute the fungicides. Compared with sterile water treatment, the growth of several fungal rice pathogens treated with NMTW showed different levels of increase. Similarly, the inhibitory effect on the pathogenic fungi of fungicides diluted with NMTW was also improved. Here we demonstrated that nanomaterial can be a potential tool for plant protection and production. It will be a green approach for less fungicide and higher level of food safety.
