摘要: Deep eutectic solvents (DES) have several advantages of cost-effectiveness, environmental sustainability and strong designability, which render them particularly promising for the pretreatment of lignocellulosic biomass. This study synthesized six DES with varying pH levels to investigate their effects on the structural characteristics, lignocellulosic components, and methanogenic potential of cornstalk during the anaerobic digestion (AD). It indicated that the choline chloride/formic acid with strong acidity significantly damaged the surface of the cornstalk, with the crystallinity index of cellulose exhibiting the most substantial change, increasing by 10.18 % compared to the control group. Following the choline chloride/triethanolamine pretreatment, cellulose recovery was recorded at 97.90 %, hemicellulose recovery at 88.29 %, and lignin removal at 23.73 %. The peak of daily methane production of 53.10 mL/g volatile solids (VS) was achieved on the third day from choline chloride/ glycerol (ChCl/Gly) pretreatment, with a lag phase of only 0.74 days. And cumulative methane production reached its maximum of 316.85 mL/g VS, which was 2.22 times greater than that of the control group. Furthermore, ChCl/Gly facilitated the growth and reproduction of Chloroflexi and Methanosaeta, with relative abundances of 2.36 % and 76.84 %, respectively. Notably, Methanosarcina showed a statistically significant positive correlation with volatile fatty acids (R = 0.943). This study provides critical technical insights for the application of DES in enhancing methane production within biogas engineering.
