Respiratory Effects under Air Humidity Stress in Fruit Bodies of Auricularia heimuer

摘要: In order to study the environmental adaptation mechanism to air humidity stress for fruit bodies of Auricularia heimuer, we studied its respiratory effects. A. heimuer was cultivated in a greenhouse, and samples were collected in the different air relative humidity (50-90%). The activities of hexokinase (HK), phosphofructokinase (PFK) and pyruvate kinase (PK) in glycolytic pathway, citrate synthase (CS), isocitrate dehydrogenase (IDH), alpha-ketoglutarate dehydrogenase (alpha-KGDH) in Krebs cycle, glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G6PDH), and 6-phosphate glucose dehydrogenase (6PGDH) in pentose phosphate pathway (PPP) were measured. Results showed that glycolytic pathway and Krebs cycle were more active in air relative humidity of 50-80% than that of 90% (the control), whereas PPP increased below 80% of air relative humidity. It indicated that respiration might be an important mechanism for tolerance to air humidity stress in fruit bodies of A. heimuer.
