Study on water consumption rule and impact factor on potted cultural pear

摘要: Pear tree (Pyrus bretschneidery Rehd) is one of the major fruit trees which are mainly planted in the North China Plain (NCP). Meanwhile, it is also more water consumption plants and the high production mainly depends on the irrigation. In the NCP, water shortage is a serious problem for the agricultural sustainable development so it is necessary to investigate the water consumption rule for pear trees. The experiments were conducted in Hebei engineer university campus from May to October in 2007 and 2008. The daily water consumption was measured using the weighing method for potted cultural "Huangguan" Pear of four-year old. The results showed that the water consumption under adequate soil water treatment was significantly more than that of moderate and severe water deficit treatment. Water consumption during the leaf development stage ranged from 0.25 to 0.58 kg/day and it was increased with the pear trees growth. The water consumption during the 1st ten days in June was the most among every ten days and was about 10.1kg/ten days. The summit in a whole day is during 10:00 to 14:00. The regression analysis results showed that average air temperature is the biggest impact factor. There are significantly positive correlation between the water consumption and average air temperature (p=0.0075), wind speed (P=0.0135), and leaf area (r=0.9516). The significantly negative correlation occurred between the water consumption and air relative humidity (P=0.0462). According to the results it is possible to establish the water consumption model and help the farmer doing the optimal irrigation for "Huangguan" pear trees in this region.
