摘要: The counterfeiting of Protected Geographical Indication (PGI) labeled tea has raised concerns regarding its authenticity and geographical origin. In order to trace the geographical origins of Sichuan PGI tea, the mineral elemental contents, delta C-13, and delta N-15 of tea were analyzed. Significant variations were observed in these parameters across different geographical origins and seasons, with only 13 elements differing between tea varieties. Geographical location had the strongest influence on 16 elemental contents, delta C-13, and delta N-15, and seven elements (Fe, Cu, As, Rb, Cd, Cs, and Y) in tea showed significant positive correlations with their respective soil concentrations. Eight key variables (delta C-13, Ba, delta N-15, Ca, Cs, Cd, Y, and Sr) were selected for discriminating geographical origins, and 100 % correct discrimination rates were obtained for both original and cross-validation. This study showed that stable isotopes and mineral elements could effectively identify tea geographical origins with a small spatial scale.
