Detailed dynamics analysis of net nitrate uptake by wheat roots after sucrose signal molecule treatment

摘要: Nitrate uptake has attracted more and more attention by far. It is known that sucrose is the signal molecule of nitrate uptake by wheat roots, which starts to increase immediately after sucrose addition. To make sure the action of sucrose signal, the effects of 10 mM and 1 mM sucrose on nitrate uptake in the light/dark were compared. Considering the intact plant was necessary to investigate the mechanisms involved in metabolism, a non-invasive technique had been used. After sucrose addition, net nitrate uptake kept increasing. It was known that sucrose effect in the dark was more effective than in the light. We found that as compared to the control, the increment of net nitrate uptake in the light was 3.8-7.3 times after sucrose addition, the effect of different sucrose concentrations was not significantly different. After sucrose removal, there was no significant difference in the lag before the response of nitrate uptake and recovery time to the original level under different light conditions (light/dark), but there was a significant difference between high and low concentrations. For halftime of the response after removal, they were significantly different between different light conditions and sucrose concentrations. The detailed dynamics analysis of net nitrate uptake by roots was analyzed and discussed after sucrose addition and removal. The work provided data support and referential value for improving N use efficiency, which was therefore important to investigate N metabolism and decrease the waste of N fertilizer.
