Transcriptomic Analysis of the Primary Roots of Dandelion (Taraxacum mongolicum Hand.-Mazz.) in Response to Salt Stress

摘要: Salinization has become one of the important abiotic stress factors affecting plant growth. Dandelion exhibits strong salt tolerance, and its salt tolerance researching can contribute to understanding of salt tolerance mechanism. Transcriptome analysis of dandelion root (mutant and wild type) was performed after 170 mmol/L NaCl stress for 0, 2, 12, and 24 h. The differentially expressed genes were compared and annotated in GO and KEGG databases. The results shown that the number of differential genes was 231, 1216, and 123 after 2, 12, and 24 h of salt stress, respectively. Differential expressed genes were annotated as cells and metabolic processes, binding and catalytic activities. KEGG enrichment suggested that the differential expressed genes involved in DNA replication, plant hormone signal transduction, plasma membrane components and amino acid metabolism, and secondary metabolite synthesis. 20 core genes related to salt tolerance were screened at 12 h under salt stress. qRT-PCR analysis showed the expression of six genes related to salt tolerance showed a significant change in different treatment periods, including Cluster-34807.27545, Cluster-34807.12386, Cluster-34807.43270, Cluster-34807.33828, Cluster-34807.29256, Cluster-34807.34899. The result was helpful for breeding salt tolerance dandelion, and was of great significance to reveal the molecular mechanism and metabolic pathways of salt tolerance in plants.
