摘要: The existing evaluation methods for urban sustainable development lack calculation of spatial indicators. GIS provides a useful way for computation, spatial analysis and visualization of spatial pattern distribution. The paper aims to study on the evaluation method of urban sustainable development ability utilizing data envelopment analysis model (DEA) and GIS. Firstly, the evaluation index system of urban sustainable development was established based on the three systems: resource and environment, economy and society. Then the sustainable urban development assessment model based on DEA was built. Thirdly, construction of DEA assessment index, quantify of the spatial indicator and the combination of DEA model and GIS were presented in detail. Finally, the effectiveness of the method was verified by taking the empirical study of Beijing as an example.
