摘要: This study demonstrates the potentials of HJ-1 hyperspectral sensor (110-128 bands)-based estimation of aboveground biomass in Hangzhou Bay Zhejiang Province, China. We coupled AGB values, calculated from field measurements of vegetation, with six different vegetation indices derived from HJ-1 data through regression analyses to produce an initial biomass map. The results showed that above-ground biomass was strongly related to the soil adjusted vegetation index (SAVI; R=0.909, p<0.01). The mean value of estimated above-ground biomass in the study area is 34 Mg/ha, which was also validated using independent field measurements (R=0.63, p<0.01). This AGB maps can be used as baseline information for future landscape level studies such as quantifying the salt-marsh vegetation and monitoring management practices.
