Litter Storage Dynamics of Stipa Klemenzii Desert Steppe and Its Effect to Vegetation and Soil in Growing Season

摘要: In desert steppe trial bases of Sonid Youqi in Inner Mongolia, 5 different treatments were set up which are CK, light grazing, moderate grazing, heavy grazing and extremely heavy grazing. The litter storage dynamics under different grazing intensities were measured from May to September in 2014. The effects of litter storage to vegetation and soil were analyzed. The results showed that: (1) the amount of litter storage in CK is the most, with an average of 29.22 g/m(2), litter storage reduced with the increase of grazing intensity, litter storage under extremely heavy grazing decreased by 57.77% than that of CK. (2) The Litter storage of stipa klemenzii steppe showed significant fluctuations with seasons, which showed the principle of "V" type, the peak value appeared in October. (3) With the increase of grazing intensity, the above and below ground biomass decreased. Litter storage had significant positive relation with above and below ground biomass. (4) With the increase of grazing intensity, soil organic content and soil moisture also had the trend of decrease.
