摘要: in order to screen differentially expressed genes of liver between bulls and steers of Simmental, cDNA microarray was used to construct gene expression profile and investigate the molecular mechanism in reduced growth and increased fat deposit by castration. The result showed that 252 known gene were found. The genes about growth and fat Metabolism were involved in cellular developmental process, anatomical structure development, amino acid and derivative metabolic process, electron transport, negative regulation of metabolic process, regulation of protein metabolic process, oxidoreductase activity, organic acid metabolic process, lipid metabolic process, regulation of growth, biosynthetic process, hormone metabolic process, protein transport. Some genes had no annotation in GenBank were screened out. They were presumed to be unknown new genes and played in bovine growth and fat metabolism. These results would provide useful information for further studying mechanism and biological changes by castration.
