Recent progress in the preconcentration of fluoroquinolones by magnetic nanomaterials: Synthesis, modification, mechanism and applications

摘要: Fluoroquinolones (FQs) cause risks to the environment and human body due to their extensive illegal applications. Hence, developing rapid, efficient, sensitive, and cost-effective sample pretreatment methods is increasingly essential for analyzing and determining FQs in actual samples. Magnetic solid-phase extraction (MSPE) has been widely researched due to its excellent characteristics, among which magnetic nanomaterials are the primary bottleneck affecting the efficiency of sample pretreatment. In recent years, some novel magnetic nanomaterials have been developed to extract and determine FQs. This article supplies an up-to-date overview and discussion on the latest development of magnetic nanomaterials for the preconcentration of FQs. The typical synthesis methods and surface functionalization methods (silica, biochar, graphene oxide, molecularly imprinted polymer, metal-organic frameworks, covalent organic frameworks, etc.) of magnetic nanomaterials were discussed, and the main interaction modes between materials and target analytes are summarized. In addition, the effect of various parameters (pH, volume, extraction and desorption time, adsorbent mass, elution solvent) on MSPE procedures and applications are summarized. This article will supply a brand-new horizon in developing innovative magnetic nanomaterials for FQs preconcentration and analysis.
