摘要: Ficus hirta serves as a host for endophytic fungi that are capable of producing bioactive compounds. This study examined endophytic fungi from the roots, stems, and leaves of F. hirta. The study identified twenty fungal strains, seven of which were found to produce flavonoids. These include GZ1, GZ2, GZ11, JZ1, YZ2, YZ4, and YZ6. The maximum flavonoid yield for these seven strains was 511.96 mg/L. Molecular and conventional identification techniques were employed to ascertain the species present, resulting in the identification of Aspergillus fumigatus (JZ1) and Penicillium janthinellum (GZ1). The antioxidant results demonstrated that the scavenging efficiencies of all strains against hydroxyl, DPPH (1, 1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl radical), and ABTS (2,2'-azino-bis [3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulfonic acid]) radicals exceeded 50 %, 60 %, and 80 %, respectively. A concentration-dependent pattern was observed, with enhanced scavenging efficiencies at higher concentrations. The anticancer findings indicated that all strains exhibited the capacity to impede the proliferation of HepG2 and HeLa cells by 30 %-50 %. These findings underscore the potential of F. hirta-derived endophytic fungi as a sustainable source of flavonoids for antioxidant and anticancer applications, providing new insights into the potential applications of endophytic fungi from this plant in the food and beverage industry.
