摘要: Other than cattle, small domestic ruminants (sheep and goats) have been found to be an important reservoir of Escherichia coli 0157-H7. Reducing E coli O157-.H7 excretion by these animals could play a key role in the prevention and control of human infections. The aim of this study was to determine whether vaccination of goats with a recombinant Stx2B-Tir-StxlB-Zot protein was capable of reducing faecal shedding of E coli O157:H7 in an oral infection model.
