摘要: The health of weaned piglets is crucial in pig production since it is closely related to the economic profitability of the pig farming industry. Taurine, a non-essential beta-amino acid with sulfur, is generally recognized as a valuable feed additive due to its abundant biological functions, including regulating plasma glucose, binding bile acids, maintaining blood pressure homeostasis, stabilizing membranes, antioxidant properties, and anti-inflammatory effects. The goal of this study was to give informative references for the industry on taurine supplementation. The results demonstrated that supplementing diets with 0.3% or 0.5% taurine significantly enhanced growth and improved intestinal health in weaned piglets. These findings will provide guidance on the appropriate taurine dosage to be incorporated into feed for pig farming.
