Isolation and characterization of forty-two polymorphic simple sequence repeat markers from Mastacembelus armatus (Symbranchiformes: Mastacembelidae)

摘要: A total of 42 polymorphic simple sequence repeat (SSR) markers were developed and characterized from genome sequences for the "zig-zag eel", Mastacembelus armatus, to safeguard its natural resources. Polymorphisms of these SSR markers were evaluated in a natural population of 35 individuals. The number of alleles per locus ranged from two to fourteen. The observed heterozygosity and expected heterozygosity varied from 0.031 to 0.813, and from 0.091 to 0.852, respectively. Three SSR loci significantly deviated from Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium after Bonferroni correction. These loci have been characterized for the first time and will be useful for genetic conservation and marker-assisted breeding of M. armatus.
