摘要: Chrysanthemum has a long history of being consumed as tea and possesses health-promoting properties, but the diversity of its related metabolites remains largely unexplored. To identify the metabolites and compare differences among four tea chrysanthemum varieties, a widely targeted metabolome analysis was conducted. In total, we identified 2188 metabolites, of which 40 metabolites were identified as potential crucial active ingredients in Traditional Chinese Medicines. Network pharmacology analysis indicated that 25 active pharmaceutical ingredients found might be related to cardiovascular disease, epilepsy, neurodevelopmental disorder, and Alzheimer disease. Comparative metabolome analysis manifested different metabolomic profiles between Ziju (ZJ) and other three chrysanthemum varieties. The shared differential metabolites from comparisons of ZJ with Hangbaiju, Wuyuanhuangju, and Jinsihuangju were mainly enriched in flavones aglycones III, luteolin aglycones, and flavones aglycones II biosynthesis pathways. Our research enhances the understanding of metabolites composition and active ingredients in tea chrysanthemum, thereby providing valuable insights for the development of the tea chrysanthemum industry.
