摘要： China has a long history of integrated fish farming, but in recent decades this method of farming has developed rapidly. This development includes. 1. an increase in the number of species cultured, 2. wider application of integrated management practices, 3. significant growth in the number of regions practicing integrated fish farming, 4. a rapid increase in the volume of production from integrated fish farms. This paper draws two main conclusions. First, accelerating the extension of integrated fish farming technologies to poor regions both in China and other countries is now necessary, and secondly, the growing complexity of integrated fish farming necessitates an investment in more rigorous scientific research.
