Optimization of extraction conditions of total phenol from lotus (Nelumbo nuficera Gaertn) rhizome

摘要: This study presents operating factors affecting yield of total phenol and ferric reducing antioxidant power (FRAP) value of extracts from lotus rhizome using orthogonal design experiment (L-9(3(4))) based on single factor experiments. Optimum extraction conditions on yield of total phenol and FRAP value, respectively, were found as follows: ratio of material to liquid, 1 g: 6 ml, 1 g: 8 ml; extraction temperature, 70 degrees C, 50 degrees C; extraction time, 2 h, 0.5 h; and ethanol concentration, 40%, 40%.
