摘要： Preliminary studies of a dwarf, male-sterile watermelon showed that male-sterility was controlled by a pair of recessive nuclear genes; it appeared simultaneously with dwarfism and its dwarf gene was different from the three known dwarf genes. Pollen aborted completely in male-sterile plants. Potential uses for the dwarf, male-sterile watermelon are also discussed. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science B.V.
