摘要： Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region has been the most important and greatest cotton growth area in China. Cotton Fusarium and Verticillium wilts are the most important diseases in cotton growth area in Xinjiang. The resistance of some cotton varieties against Fusarium and Verticillium wilts in Xinjiang cotton growth area is different from one in other cotton growth area in China, and it also exists in different cotton growth area in Xinjiang. Since more years, many resistant cotton varieties have been introduced in Xinjiang, and agricultural ecological environment in Xinjiang has changed greatly, these could cause the pathogenicity differentiation of Verticillium and fusarium wilts' pathogens. It is doubted if there is defoliating pathotype of cotton Verticillium dahliae in Xinjiang. It has been very lacking of study systematically on pathogens of cotton Fusarium and Verticillium wilts in Xinjiang.
