摘要： The research background of RCSODS (Rice Cultivational Simulation Optimization and Decision - making System) developed by the authors was systemically introduced in the presented paper. The basic construction, major principles and various rice simulation models and optimization models that RCSODS consists of were described. The nine subsystems of RCSODS and their designs for modeling, as well as applications in rice practice were clarified. Validation of RCSODS shows that the agreement between RCSODSsimulated and observed data is fairly well. RCSODS has been extended in nine provinces of China, helping farmers to obtain higher yield and profit from rice production.
