摘要： Seasonal changes in population of the Rattus norvegicus caraco in Harbin were studied. Upper molar wearing degree of the Rattus norvegicus caraco was used as age indicator to divide them into five age classes: young, sub-adult, adult I, adult H and older, and their age identification system was established. Seven measurements were tested and differences between the two sexes were investigated by the method of t-test. It was concluded that there were little but not significantly differences between the two sexes in tail length, ear length, hind length and dry weight of lenses; whereas the male were significantly heavier and longer than the female in the body weight, body length and body weight Viscera. The ages of the Rattus norvegicus caraco captured in 2009 and 2010 were identified by the identification system. It was found that the proportion of young and sub-adult were the largest, and the reproductive peak is in May-Jul and Nov-Jan, therefore the best control period was April and July.
