摘要: The existing cattle farm management software cannot meet the requirements of large-scale cattle farms. This study aimed to develop a practical tool for cattle farmers and to aid farmers in feeding more cows. The novel cattle farm management system (NCFMS) was developed using the JAVA programming language in the Android Studio Development Environment. The NCFMS system consisted of eight functional modules: herd, breeding, reproduction, lactation, fattening, health, reporting, and user management. This system was installed in smartphones with UHF RFID and has been used on dairy and beef farms in Henan Province since 2018. The results showed that the NCFMS system could rapidly record the details of cattle growth and then generate farm reports on cattle breeding and production utilizing the collected data. The cattle farms using this system can significantly increase work efficiency by 30%. In conclusion, this system will be a practical tool to assist the farmer in decision-making for cattle farms.
