On Precision Agriculture and the Construction of Agriculture Sustainable-developing Ability in China

摘要： Precision agriculture (PA), supported by information technology (IT), is a whole modern prescription management system that carries out farming practices based on the field spatial variation. The paper summarized PA's present status and trends both inChina and abroad, analyzed the relations of PA with the construction of agriculture sustainable-developing ability in China and put forward 6 suggestions promoting PA development in China: (1) to publicize the thought of PA; (2) to setup the managementsystem meeting the actual needs of productivity development; (3) to strengthen the database development of agricultural foundation information; (4) to develop the technological products with our own intellectual property right; (5) to reform the system of science research; (6) to set up PA demonstration bases with different modes.
