摘要： SLG gas field belongs to the CQ Oil Company located at Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region northwest of China. It is very difficult to sidetrack a horizontal well at this area. The difficult points are: deep kick-out point, hard and thin pay-zone, long horizontal section, horizontal section must be controlled in the box with height of ± 2 meters. A number of geology and engineering data of some offset wells were analyzed, we optimized the well structures, the hole profiles and the bits of the well SP - 1 and SP-2, researched the BHA, compound drilling technique, landing and horizontal section track controlling, geological steer drilling.lt made the well SP - 1 and SP - 2 successfully drilled. As a result, the 4 steps horizontal well of the SP - 1 was completed with meeting the geologist' s needs, and the well SP - 2 horizontal section were walking along the target range of ± 2 meters.
