摘要: The vegetable production has developed greatly in the last 40 years in Shanghai. There are more than 120Vegetable varieties in the market. Vegetable culture from open field cultivation transfer to small plastic tunnel cultivation, large plastic tunnels cultivation, and extend to the present multi-span glasshouse culture. Heated glass greenhouse imported from Holland has been successfully used in vegetable culture in Shanghai. Yield has run up tofour-six time than the open culture. Protected culture is the main vegetable production mode in Shanghai. The form of the national vegetable market has brought about great impact on Shanghai vegetable production. Vegetable Standard production technique system and marketing system have been set up in recent years. Facing the requirement of improving vegetable quality and farmers' income to join into WTO, Shanghai has began to adjust varieties structure, improve production condition, extend organic-cultivate, change the production and marketing methods and style, and grow pollution-free health vegetable to be more competitive on international market. At the same time, vegetable production facilities, equipment and corresponding technique should be improved. Shanghai should make efforts on vegetable scientific research to improve vegetable quality, standard, environment protection and sustainable use of resources. All new technologies, varieties, materials should be extended as soon as possible under a new mechanism. Vegetable industry hi Shanghai will develop vegetable processing and relative business. Though the effort of policy, research, technology and administration, Shanghai vegetable industry will have sustainable development hi the future.
