摘要: Forty-eight Min piglets at 7 days of age were randomly divided into two groups which were fed with 0% and 0.8% glutamine, respectively. Supplementation with 0.8% l-glutamine, the average daily gain (ADG) were significantly increased, and the concentrations of glutamine, glutamate, arginine and citrulline in plasma were significantly improved (P<.05). The expression of jejunal mucosa glutathione peroxidase (GSH-Px) and total superoxide dismutase (T-SOD) were both significantly increased, and the concentration of malonaldehyde (MDA) was significantly reduced (P<.05). Furthermore, the villus height and the villus height to crypt depth ratio were significantly increased (P<.05). Glutamine supplementation significantly increased the expression levels of occludin mRNA and protein (P<.05), while the mRNA and protein expression levels of ZO-1 were not significantly affected. These results showed that dietary supplementation with glutamine contributed to improving intestinal development and whole-body growth in Min piglets.
