摘要: Konosirus punctatus and Clupanodon thrissa are distributed in overlapping geographical areas. Their similar appearance makes it difficult to distinguish them by morphology. In recent years, overfishing has led to frequent stock collapses. The development of resource management and identification techniques is necessary for accurate statistical assessment of harvests and to protect the diversity of species and genetic resources. Considering the difficulty of distinguishing these two species, a molecular marker technique was developed to identify them. As a result, primer HB3 was developed to obtain amplification products for C. thrissa, which are not produced for K. punctatus. This study allows rapid distinction between these two species based on amplification products, providing a simple and rapid molecular method for checking products sold and illegally caught.
