摘要: An experiment was conducted to study the effect of rice husk (RH) diluted dietary switching on body weight (BW), carcass yield and digestive tract of adult geese. Ninety-six 140-d-old ganders were acclimated to the basic diet for 2 weeks. The birds were randomly assigned to 4 treatments. Each treatment was represented by 4 replicates containing 6 ganders (24 birds per treatment). At day 1, diets in experimental groups were switched from the basic diet to diets which contained 20%, 40% and 60% RH by mass, with no RH in the basic diet. After 21 days, the diet of all the experimental birds switched back to the basic diet until day 42. Three birds of each replicate were selected and killed to evaluate the carcass yield and digestive tract changes. The weights of geese fed 60% RH diet for 21 days were reduced, and were significantly less than those of the other three groups (P < 0.05) which did not differ in BW. BW of the geese in all groups increased after diet-switching back to the basic diet, and no significant difference was noted in BW among them at 42 d. Thigh yields were improved in ganders given 40% RH diet compared with birds receiving basic or 20% RH diets (P < 0.05) while other yields were unaffected by RH treatments (P > 0.05). Heavier relative weights of caecum were observed in birds fed 60% RH diet (P < 0.05), but RH diet had no effect on the relative weights of other gut components. The findings of this study suggest that RH is a good nutrient diluent in geese diet and 40% RH in diet is the optimal concentration for breeding geese compared with the other groups.
