摘要: As substitutes of costly organic solvents or ionic liquids, the application of deep eutectic solvents (DESs) is opening new perspectives in recent six years for the production of advanced functional materials. This mini-review emphasizes the development and advances in DES-modified advanced materials, which mostly consist of a DES immobilized within various matrices, such as nanofluids, carbon-based materials, silica materials, polymer monolith, polydopamine-based adsorbents, phenolic resin, polymeric hydrogel, metal-organic framework, covalent organic framework, membranes, electrode, and other biomass ma-terial. This building system, which utilizes the features and properties of liquid-state DESs, transfers various tailored materials with diverse functionalities (fluidity, magnetism, stability, chromatographic compatibility, tunability, reusability) and extraction efficiency towards different pollutants. Under this context, we offer a judicious analysis of these emerging DES-modified functional materials, their syn-thesis, properties and applications for pesticides, therapeutic drugs, heavy metals, additives, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, phenolic compounds and other emerging pollutant detection in food and the environment. Perspectives and chances for future research trends in this prospective field are also investigated.(c) 2023 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
