Rapid propagation of virus-free garlics and a systematic scheme for seed garlic production

摘要: Studies on factors influencing multi-shoots priferacation from garlic meristems, survival rates of transplanting in vitro plantlets, number of cloves and weight of bulbs produced by the plantlets and making using of aerial cloves to accelerate propagation of virus-free seed garlics were carried out. A set of integrate techniques for rapid multiplication of virus-free garlics had been worked out and put into use. Ways for protecting the virus-free seed crops from virus reinfection and a systematic scheme for propagation of elite seed garlic clones had been proposed and proved successful.
