摘要: Hemibagrus guttatus (Lacep & egrave;de, 1803), commonly known as spotted longbarbel catfish, is an indigenous catfish in China. However, due to the sharp decrease of H. guttatus wild populations, it is assigned as "Population Decreasing" by IUCN and is a second-level National Key Protected Wildlife species in China. It is well known that genetic diversity is crucial for animals' protection. However, there are limited molecular markers for H. guttatus. In this study we thus developed 68 simple sequence repeat (SSR) markers in this study based on the whole genome resequencing of 20 individuals. The minor allele frequency values were between 0.08 and 0.50. The observed heterozygosity ranged from 0.33 to 0.75, and the expected heterozygosity ranged from 0.33 to 0.80. Eight loci were significantly deviated from the Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium (p < 0.05). SSR markers developed in the present study will be helpful for the population genetics of H. guttatus.
