摘要: Chinese mitten crab, Eriocheir sinensis, is an important freshwater cultured crab in China with an annual production of approximately 800,000m.t. and a value of 5 billion US dollars in 2014. The germplasm admixture and degeneration of E. sinensis are the most critical factors that restrict its aquaculture industry. Thus, genetic improvement programs of E. sinensis were initiated in 2000. The Ministry of Agriculture of China approved five selected varieties of E. sinensis, which are currently cultured throughout China and cover nearly 10% of the total yield of E. sinensis. The aquaculture status, genetic improvement practices, and achievement in E. sinensis aquaculture in China during the past 15yr are summarized in this review.
