摘要: SiC ceramics possesses a variety of superior functionalities and controlling its surface wettability can be important for specific applications. In this work, laser-based functionalization techniques were employed to achieve wettability modification for SiC via the combined action of laser-induced surface structure and postprocess led surface chemistry. The experimental results indicated that superhydrophobic SiC surface can be well fabricated, and the surface structure and surface chemistry are considered equally important for wettability transition. This work is expected to provide key insights for wettability control of SiC ceramics that can benefit diverse applications.
